I'm a married mother of "3 1/2" ;) and the loves of my life are my faith and my family. I've grown in my faith over the last two years since my daughter's adoption, she is the reason why I started this blog in the first place, and I'm so looking forward to watching God move in my heart, and the hearts of others who follow along on our journey towards bringing home one of "the least of these". Special needs adoption is my mission field, whether I'm adopting a child myself, or helping other families get funded, or shouting for waiting children who need families to find them, and I hope you'll come along for the ride and watch what God can accomplish when we say yes to His command to care for the orphan, and go out into the world to be His hands and feet.

Long overdue update

I had originally planned to end this blog and create a new one where I chronicled what life was like once Kenzi came home, I actually started a new blog, and I even wrote one whole post....but then I realized that life with 3 kids was not going to allow much time for blogging so I used that knowledge as an excuse to abandon blogging altogether. Now that Kenzi has been home for nearly 5 months (what?!) we are establishing a semi-routine....ok that's a lie, my life is extremely chaotic but we are *coping* with the chaos now, at least so I am going to give this blogging thing a try again.

I will post an update that covers Kenzi's homecoming, her heart surgery, her first ever birthday party, etc to get everyone caught up but I'm currently on my iPad so access to photos is limited and I also need to edit all the fundraising stuff off of the blog as soon as I can find time to get on a "real" computer.

I need to address one thing very quickly. I have gotten messages regarding Facebook, Kenzi's prayer page, and my craft page. I deleted my Facebook account. There are/were several things going on in our family life and while there were several factors contributing to those issues, a big factor was Facebook, and certain people specifically. I learned in the past that deleting people from Facebook can cause a lot of issues, and because I prefer to run away from conflict, I made the decision to just start fresh with a new page. I'm still in the process of adding friends (it's not as easy as you would think to find friends using Facebook search!) so that's that!

As far as my craft page, it was deleted when my page was deleted, and on Prayers for McKenzie my husband is the admin (which would explain the lack of posts, ha!). I'm taking a break from the hair bows because I'm burned out on it and I need to focus my attention on some household projects right now. Its late and im falling asleep but more soon, i promise! :)

But for now....enjoy these pics of a happy, thriving. Kenzi <3
