I'm a married mother of "3 1/2" ;) and the loves of my life are my faith and my family. I've grown in my faith over the last two years since my daughter's adoption, she is the reason why I started this blog in the first place, and I'm so looking forward to watching God move in my heart, and the hearts of others who follow along on our journey towards bringing home one of "the least of these". Special needs adoption is my mission field, whether I'm adopting a child myself, or helping other families get funded, or shouting for waiting children who need families to find them, and I hope you'll come along for the ride and watch what God can accomplish when we say yes to His command to care for the orphan, and go out into the world to be His hands and feet.

Satan Called....He wants his weather back.

Um. It's hot. Like really, really unbearably, horrifyingly hot! Of course it would be 105 degrees on the weekend I plan my yardsale, right??? Well, needless to say we didn't make a killing, but we had as much fun as a couple of people can have while melting in the sun 8 hrs a day for 2 days. We weeded out a bunch of junk, we put the better stuff back for a second sale at a friends house, and I'll be listing some SUPER cute kids clothes individually on my craft page later this week. All in all, it was a good time. :)

I didn't take any pictures...but just visualize the surface of the sun covered in yard sale crap...yup...that's just about right. lol

  1. Tell me about it! Between the gigantic thunderstorms with 80 mph gusts that knocked out power for a good 600k+ people, including the 20k+ that stayed on for Friday's storm but went out tonight (like mine) and the 300k+ that are still out around the state... and the heat indexes into the 100's every day, I'm seriously thinking the Mayans were onto something. The earth itself is trying to kill us! Sorry your yard sale landed right in the middle of it! Just think, if this is what June had planned for us, what's winter going to bring? Snownados? Is that a thing? If it is, I bet we'll have them.

  2. I completely understand that comment! I am also from the "sunny south." (However, today a few little rain clouds have slipped in, YEAHHHH!!!)

Too bad you can't go somewhere and just sell bottled water or lemonade to make a little money for the adoption expenses. I know you mentioned selling it at the sale.

I can't wait to see when you get your baby girl. She is just a little doll. God Bless Your Journey!
