I'm a married mother of "3 1/2" ;) and the loves of my life are my faith and my family. I've grown in my faith over the last two years since my daughter's adoption, she is the reason why I started this blog in the first place, and I'm so looking forward to watching God move in my heart, and the hearts of others who follow along on our journey towards bringing home one of "the least of these". Special needs adoption is my mission field, whether I'm adopting a child myself, or helping other families get funded, or shouting for waiting children who need families to find them, and I hope you'll come along for the ride and watch what God can accomplish when we say yes to His command to care for the orphan, and go out into the world to be His hands and feet.

Ice Cream and News Programs and Home studies OH MY!!

Wow! That's the only word I can come up with to define today's events!! I spent a lot of time on the phone with Mel from WBBJ and we decided not to do a video interview today but we're all excited about running a story Natasha's adoption journey from start to finish! More details coming soon!

We also got an email from our home study case worker. We got a definite date and time for our "walk through"...basically she's going to come over for a while, hang out, make sure the house is toddler safe, etc. She said it won't be a big deal since we already have a 2 year old, so everything we would need for Tasha, we probably already had (and we do!).

We started putting the bedroom together, the case worker said Natasha's country prefers the child to have their own room or to share with a same gender sibling, so we'll end up putting Jack and Dyl together, but for now, this is what their room looks like.

And here is her completed wall :)

PLUS...we were thinking of COOL fundraising ideas...well whats cooler that ice cream! Maggie Moo's was nice enough to offer us a scoop night!! I'll post a separate blog about that specifically, but it's going to be January 23rd from 5pm-9pm and proceeds will go to Natasha's adoption fund! We're still looking for a scooper, and someone to dress up as Maggie, so if you're interested let me know!

Also, we're 19 "likes" away from hitting 300 on facebook, when we hit 300 we'll draw a name for someone to win a $25 gift card!!! Whoo hoo! If you aren't already on her facebook page, go like it now!
